Diego Aguirre to arrive at Cruz Azul imposed by promoters and not for the good of the team

Why do promoters impose Diego Aguirre?

Journalist Rubén Rodríguez revealed in his column published in the newspaper Récord that Diego Aguirre's name sounds strong in Mexican soccer, and not only as an option for Cruz Azul, due to the fact that there is a background in which promoters are involved and therefore a big-money business with their own catalog of players.

"He has been offered to renowned teams, with money and who like to invest every tournament. Diego Aguirre, who I do not doubt his ability, is offered tournament after tournament in Mexico, it sounds more like a business of promoters looking to place their coach and then begin to fill with players that dictates who put him, a matter of friends between managers and promoters, than a solution for Chivas or any other team," wrote the journalist a couple of days ago when it seemed imminent the arrival of the Uruguayan to the Rebaño.

Promoters could impose reinforcements

Thus, the journalist warns about the reinforcements that could arrive as a consequence of the arrival of the 56-year-old coach, since the team could pay high amounts of money for players that are not precisely of proven quality, but imposed by the same promoters who are behind Aguirre; a subject in which Cruz Azul was an expert for decades under the management of Billy Álvarez and as a result obtained a drought of 23 years without winning a league title.
