Negotiations between Cruz Azul representatives, Boca Juniors and Cristian Pavón and his agent have been going on for a while, but it seems that the right-winger addition to La Máquina is not going to happen.

After talks were on hold as a result of Pavón testing positive for covid, Cruz Azul hasn’t reached the economical pretentions that both Boca Juniors and Pavón’s agent have, which is why Los Cementeros are starting to consider a plan B to fill the spot they need on attack.
Although Fernando Hidalgo, Cristian Pavón’s agent recently said that Cruz Azul’s offer was the one that Pavón and his team liked the most, and he’s close to signing with La Máquina, as they’re only waiting for the final response of the team from La Noria, something that will happen this upcoming week.

Robert Morales from Paraguayan Cerro Porteño is rumored to be the next in line for La Máquina if negotiations with Pavón didn’t work. Cerro Porteño is asking for $2 million to let the striker leave the Club, a figure Cruz Azul won’t find problems paying.
