Mexico's León will face Guatemala's Guastatoya this Tuesday in the second leg of the round of 16, of the CONCACAF Champions League 2022 with the goal of completing the task that began in the first leg, which resulted in an overwhelming Aztec superiority.
This is what Amaury Vergara was doing while Chivas lost against Club León
At their home stadium, the Nou Camp, the León of Argentine coach Ariel Holán is confident of putting an end to the tie, in which they are 2-0 up thanks to the result they obtained in Guatemala last Wednesday. It is important to point out that the Argentinean DTs, with a 2-0 series in favor, have never been eliminated in the last 5 years, a fact that is not minor when it comes to mathematical probabilities.
La Fiera has not lost at its stadium since February 7 and in its last match at the Nou Camp, on Saturday, it defeated Guadalajara 2-1 with a goal and an assist from Chilean Víctor Dávila.
Guastatoya goes into the match against León in high spirits after last Saturday's 1-0 win over La Liga champion Malacateco to take the lead in the Clausura tournament. With his best weapons at his disposal, Nicaraguan Mario Acevedo, coach of Guastatoya, hopes to turn the tie around, led by Mexican Luis Angel Landín.
The clear betting favorite is Club León, with bookmakers paying 1.3 for Club León to qualify, 5.3 for a draw, and 10.5 for Deportivo Guastatoya to pull off a miracle and advance to the next round.
It is worth remembering that we cannot use this prediction for historical reasons either, as the only meeting between León and Guastatoya was last week.
To date, La Fiera has not been able to excel in any of the international tournaments as well as those played in Liga MX. The failures are innumerable and have been more than evident in the short tournaments of Mexican soccer.
Club León wins 76%.
Tie: 12%.
Guastatoya wins: 12
