It seems that the dressing room of the Rebaño Sagrado is not broken, but rather united against a common enemy, and that enemy is within the squad.

And that enemy is none other than the team's Sporting Director, Ricardo Peláez. And the root of the conflict would be none other than the team's current interim coach, Ricardo Cadena. 

Why did the Chivas players explode against Pelaez and what does Ricardo Cadena have to do with it?

According to information from the newspaper El Universal, one of the most widely circulated in Mexico, the players are angry with Ricardo Pelaez because he is still looking for a coach for the team when the players want Ricardo Cadena to be ratified as the team's head coach.

Before taking charge of the Chivas first team, Cadena was coach of the Chivas academy where he won a title in the U-17 category in the Apertura 2019 tournament. 

He later coached with the U-20 basic forces, until becoming part of the coaching staff of the first team. And with that experience, the coach led the Chivas club to a Liguilla.

And not only that, Cadena managed to get the team to recover the prestige it had lost under the direction of Marcelo Michel Leaño, who led the team to the bottom of the table.

In addition, under his tenure, Chivas showed a conservative style of play, very timid when attacking, the opposite of what they showed later under Ricardo Cadena's arrival. 

And with the arrival of the interim coach, the players were very comfortable and even admitted that they were very happy with the game plan that Cadena had deployed for them. 

And although yesterday afternoon the team was eliminated by Atlas in the Liguilla, the players always backed Cadena. And all seemed peaceful and calm after the defeat until the news came that made the players explode against Ricardo Peláez.

According to the aforementioned media, the Guadalajara players did not like the fact that Pelaez was still looking for candidates for the position of head coach, since they feel very comfortable with Ricardo Cadena.

And everything seems to indicate that the main candidate has already spoken to Pelaez and has the name and surname: it is Diego Aguirre, the Uruguayan coach who has extensive experience in different parts of the world.
