Chivas and PSV Eindhoven announced an alliance for the next two years, in which they will share practices for the development of young players. It is worth remembering that several Mexicans have played for the Dutch team.
In a joint announcement, both rojiblancos’ teams acknowledged the bond between them, which will run until 2024.
"Starting today and for the next 2 years, the Rebaño Sagrado and the Granjeros will work together in search of mutual development, as they will share practices for the growth of their talent on and off the field at various levels, as well as in marketing activities. The link between both red and white clubs will address various aspects for mutual development on the field and as a brand," it reads.
PSV's general manager, Toon Gerbrands, pointed out that this union between the two clubs will increase their potential considerably, and stated that Chivas is a big club with a great hierarchy.
"For us, internationalization is key to our mission and vision as a club, which is where this partnership comes from. We want to put PSV on the world map. Chivas is a big, high-ranking club and enjoys tremendous popularity in Mexico and the United States with around 40 million fans. We are convinced that this partnership will considerably increase the potential of both clubs," he said.

On the same Chivas website, the words of Amaury Vergara after reaching an agreement with the Dutch team were posted. The owner of the Mexican team was happy with the alliance that will strengthen the work that has been done in the Rebaño's youth academy over the last two years.
"The fact that this agreement is being finalized at the beginning of this new era for Chivas is very special for us, especially because we are dealing with PSV, a unique club with a long tradition, the most Mexican team in Europe. We want to join forces with clubs with which we feel identified, with whom we share strong values, and who want to build on them in search of a better future for both institutions, with a great opportunity for mutual growth, as we know it will be from now on with PSV".
