Chivas is one of Liga MX teams with more tradition and followers in Mexico and has been for a long time, since the team established in 1906. So far, El Rebaño Sagrado has been Liga MX champion 12 times, although the last time they raised the trophy was 5 years ago.

Since Amaury Vergara took over, Chivas has been losing protagonism in Liga MX, especially on the last few tournaments, when not even Victor Manuel Vucetich was able to get them back to the first places on Liga MX. But the Mexican entrepreneur Carlos Bremer has recently stated he is willing to invest in the soccer industry, where he sees a profitable industry, and Chivas might be the team where he would first invest, given that he was friends with Amaury’s father, Jorge Vergara.
