Tigres prepares the possible arrival of Sebastián Córdova, an América player, as a reinforcement for the next tournament, as two sources claim that the midfielder has begun talks with the felines.

According to ESPN, everything is on track for Córdova to join the squad, which could be combined with the departure of Leo Fernández, who is looking to move to Toluca or Santos.

Several ESPN reports have made it known that Córdova is not in the plans of coach Santiago Solari, and this has been matched by the fact that the Tigres board of directors, headed by Mauricio Culebro, who has stated that the midfielder is a player of interest to any team.

Sebastián Córdova was coached by Miguel Herrera when the latter was in charge of América, and now that he is at Tigres they could be reunited.

Among the moves that Tigres is preparing is the departure of Leo Fernández, who was initially mentioned as a possible transfer to Toluca, but sources reported that the player is now looking to join the Santos Laguna team.

Leo, who was outstanding with Toluca when he was on loan in the 2020 Clausura, returned to the felines for the 2020 Guardianes, when Tigres was under Ricardo Ferretti.

Fernández has not been able to have regular playing time with the felines, neither with the Brazilian nor with Miguel Herrera, so he may leave the squad and it is expected that the player's future will be announced shortly.

As a result, Tigres is preparing the way for Sebastián Córdova to join the team as a reinforcement for the tournament, which will begin next January.
