Santiago Solari decided to start him as right-winger to complete the offensive side alongside Henry Martín, who started as forward, and Salvador Reyes as left-winger, in an all-Mexican offense that hopes to become a regular on the field.

Zendejas will try to continue with his impressive performances he showed with Necaxa last season, when he became the Mexican striker with most goals on Apertura 2021, as he scored 6 goals and managed to assist two times.

Jonathan dos Santos to the bench

The younger of the Dos Santos brothers will have to wait to make his debut with Las Águilas colors on the starting XI, as he started the game on the bench, a sign that he still must regain his shape after been out of activity for two months.
