Reports are starting to suggest that Carlos Vela’s stint in MLS will be over soon, as his time with Los Angeles FC is coming to an end, even if they just agreed on a contract extension for the 2022 MLS Season, this will be only for six months.

The 32-year-old right-winger currently is preparing to start his fifth and possible last season wearing LAFC’s colors as the Black & Gold will receive Colorado Rapids on February 26 for the opening game of the 27th MLS Season.
In the meantime, Liga MX clubs already have started pursuing his addition for Apertura 2022, as “El Bombardero” can start negotiating with any club he wants, as he’ll join them as a free agent over the summer transfer window, although his acquisition is conditioned to who can pay him more.
Club América knows that they need to acquire a superstar like Carlos Vela in order to win their followers affection back, as they have shown they’re not happy with the current roster and coach, which is why Las Águilas would be opened to pay Vela $5 million per year, more than what LAFC will pay him this season.
