Leny Yoro is one of the most chased players in the summer transfer window, as Real Madrid and Manchester United are battling to sign him. Yoro plays for Lille in the French league, but his time there may come to an end as his contract expires next summer, and he may leave the club this summer in order for the French club to get a transfer fee.
The French defender is willing to play another season with Lille, but he will not renew his contract with them. Sky Sports Germany reports that Manchester United hopes that Leny Yoro is committed to their club since they recently had a bid for him accepted by Lille. Yoro can sign a contract with Man United until the summer of 2029. He will decide between the two clubs soon, and if Real Madrid can’t bid him a high fee, Yoro could consider joining Manchester United.
Yoro has reportedly mentioned to Lille and to Manchester United that his dream is to join Real Madrid this summer. Real Madrid are in need of a defender since Nacho Fernandez has left the club as a free agent this summer. Lille accepting Man United’s bid will lead to the player being convinced by the clubs to accept.
The French defender has played a total of 44 matches for Lille this past season across all competitions. He played in Ligue 1, UEFA Europa Conference League, Coupe De France, and the UEFA Europa League Conference qualifiers. He scored three goals this past season and he scored two in Ligue 1.
Manchester United really want Leny Yoro for next season, but they are also looking at other names. The other defenders Man United wants are De Ligt from Bayern Munich and Branthwaite from Everton.
