Lamine Yamal is only 16 years old, yet he is causing lots of excitement amongst the football fans. He is set to become one of the best players in the world in the next decade, and that may not be an exaggeration. Yamal is a crucial player for the Spanish national team and is shining at the EUROS, with three assists in total, the most of any player in the tournament. Some comparisons that come to mind are Lionel Messi and this week, a wild picture that surprised many football fans that at first some believed was fake. In 2007, the year Yamal was born, a young Messi met a baby Yamal for a photo shoot. A picture of Messi meeting the baby Yamal grew in popularity amongst football fans, and the father of Yamal confirmed that the picture is real. People think it is no coincidence that Yamal is performing well since he was 'blessed' by Lionel Messi at a very young age, which was only months, in fact.

Sport reports that there used to be a charity calendar in which players of the first team of FC Barcelona participated in a totally different, altruistic, and kind way with children. It just so happened Messi got paired with a barely 6-month Lamine Yamal. Sport was reportedly the one who took the pictures of Messi, a baby Yamal, and his mother.

Lamine Yamal is the future of FC Barcelona, as he performed extremely well for them this past season. It earned him a call-up to the Spanish national team at 16 years old, and he is currently playing in the EUROS. It is the first major tournament of his career with his country, and yet he has provided three assists, and the team is in the semifinals of the competition.

Messi met not only a baby Yamal when he was younger at FC Barcelona, but he also met a very young Dani Olmo. Olmo is also vital for Spain, and he demonstrated it against Germany in the quarterfinals. He replaced the injured Pedri and went on to score a goal and provide an assist for Spain to win 2-1 vs Germany.
