Lamine Yamal is the young star of FC Barcelona, and many fans have been impressed by the young winger for the past season and months. The Spanish winger is currently on vacation after winning the European Championship this summer with Spain, where he started and played in six out of seven matches the national team played. The youngster is only 17 years old, and while playing many games at FC Barcelona this past season, he is seen as the future of the club.

Yamal is seen as a player who has the potential to win the Ballon d'Or award, according to Barcelona fans. The youngster is the long term plan for FC Barcelona and many think they will stay there for many years despite many clubs interested in possibly signing him in the future. A club that has been open to signing alot of the best young talents in the world is Barcelona's rival, Real Madrid.

Yamal was asked about him to play for Real Madrid, but he showcased his loyalty to the Catalan club. Yamal told sources in Spain that he would first win another European Championship with Spain, then play for Real Madrid.

Players from FC Barcelona have gone on to play for Real Madrid in the past despite the club rivalry. Players like Luis Figo, Samuel Eto'o, Luis Enrique, and Ronaldo Nazario have done this. A few weeks ago, when asked personally about playing for Real Madrid in the future, Yamal said, "I would never play for Real Madrid."

Yamal also is hoping to be the future of FC Barcelona for many years when he talked about FC Barcelona. Yamal said, "In another 5-10 years I hope to still be a starting player in Barcelona and Spain.” The Spanish winger had earned a new number of next season, which will be the number 19, the number he wore with Spain at the EUROS.
