The England national team advanced to the semifinals of the EUROS yesterday after beating Switzerland 5-3 on penalties. The game ended 1-1 after extra time, and despite not convincing many English fans, they are in another semifinal in a major tournament under Gareth Southgate. England did not make it easy for themselves at the knockout stages, and a few players were given credit for their efforts. One of them is Jude Bellingham, who has two goals at the EUROS so far. One underrated player that the national team has started to play more often is Kobbie Mainoo. The Manchester United youngster has started in the two knockout stages for England after not being given many minutes in the group stage. His last performance against Switzerland made fans optimistic about winning the tournament, and some believe he is the most essential player on the squad right now. Against Switzerland, Mainoo completed 100% tackles, won, had a 97% pass accuracy, had two shots, had two tackles, and played one key pass.

Mainoo created one chance against Switzerland and had two shots that were blocked. The English midfielder played for 78 minutes against Switzerland, gave England more security at the back, and made the team team attack slightly more.
