Germany was officially knocked out of the EUROS this summer after they lost 2-1 to Spain in extra time in the quarterfinal of the tournament. It was heartbreaking for Germany since the tournament was hosted in Germany, and the German fans in the stadium were devasted. They were regarded as one of the favorites of the tournament before it started, and then they proved it in their first match against Scotland on the group stage. Germany showcased lots of amazing football, and most of that is thanks to Jamal Musiala. The Bayern Munich star wore the number 10 jersey and demonstrated why he was given the special number. Musiala played all five matches for Germany at the EUROS and started in all of the matches. He scored three goals in the tournament and is still among the top goalscorers in the competition. Musiala played over 420 minutes in the EUROS. He has a 70% shot accuracy in the tournament, as he took four shots out of 10 attempts as a left winger in total. He played the full 120 minutes of the match against Spain.

Musiala scored in the 5-1 win against Scotland in the EURO opener. He played for 74 minutes in that game and scored the second goal of the whole tournament. Germany took the lead in the 10th minute, thanks to Florian Wirtz. In the 19th minute, Musiala grabbed his first goal of the tournament thanks to an assist by Kai Havertz.

In the 2-0 win against Hungary, Germany's second match of the group stage, Musiala scored again, and this time, he scored the opener in the 22nd minute. This win secured Germany a place in the knockout stages. In the last group stage match, Germany drew 1-1 against Switzerland. He played 76 minutes in the match against Switzerland. In the match against Denmark in the Round of 16, Germany won 2-0, and Musiala scored in the 68th minute to seal the win.

Musiala's message to the Germany fans

Musiala was very upset about the loss against Spain and wrote a message to the German fans. Musiala wrote, "It’s incredibly painful to be eliminated like that. We have given everything and are very grateful for your outstanding support. Thank you very much - I hope we were able to give you something back! We will get up and come back stronger!"
