Xavi Simons is one of the players who more attracted attention among youths during the last years. The boy with the strange hair cut arrived to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, after FC Barcelona decided to axe him many years after his arrival to La Masía, where he was formed.

The talent and the skills that the wonder kid showed on the field, made him being compared to Andrés Iniesta, one of the greatest midfielders of all-times. Barcelona then lost a player with the DNA of the club, that has been playing for the youth teams of PSG since his arrival in the Parisian side.

But after Mauricio Pochettino landed in Paris, he told Xavi Simons that he was going to have good chances, and he didn’t lie. This Wednesday, the boy made his professional debut for PSG in the game against Caen (0-1) that his team played in the French Cup. He entered for Julien Draxler and played some minutes.

Xavi Simons has a contract until June 2022, and there is expected that he renews it. Barcelona has started talks to re-catch the player that they formed but surprisingly left, even though that is very hard. With a talented right foot and many chances to grow, the Dutch playmaker is giving his first steps in the soccer world.
