It’s no lie to say that Enrique “El Perro” Bermúdez is one of the most renowned TV commentators and analysts of Mexican soccer, who has been active since 1976 and so far, has narrated 11 World Cups. His name has also been linked with Televisa, but now he might quit.

After the scandal that was news last week, when both Bermúdez and Francisco Villa criticized Santiago Baños decisions as Club América chairman, and later were forced to apologize in social media, rumors have been going around of his possible resignation from TUDN.

It seemed to be that the Mexican commentators weren’t allowed to criticize the team owned by the telecommunications company but being forced to apologize for doing his work didn’t sit well with “El Perro”, which is why he’s considering quitting.

Who could arrive in his place?

According to rumors, if Bermúdez decides that his self-worth is more valuable than blindly following orders, TUDN would be looking to hire ESPN analyst Jorge Pietrasanta, who already has worked for Televisa in the past.
