Sporting KC coach, Peter Vermes is very clear that they do not want to let one of their stars go to play games with their national team in the Netherlands next Sunday. Alan Pulido is in a great footballing moment and his coach wants to make the most of it to secure his playoff spot.

The main reason for the refusal to travel would be that he would miss at least 4 games, right at the end of the regular season. Kansas City is in fourth position but only 4 points behind ninth, last place to qualify for the playoff. Pulido is one of the most important players of the Kansas team.

If he is forced to travel, he would do so on Sunday after Kansas' game against the Houston Dynamo. Recall that Kansas comes from postponing a game against Colorado Rapids due to positive cases of Covid. Four days after traveling, Mexico would have to play the first game of his European tour.

The risk of injury from the long trip, poor recovery and the stress generated by the entire problem of MLS with FIFA and Conmebol worries the techninco from Kansas regarding Pulido's health. From Kansas City they assured that if they have the possibility and not run any risk of sanction they will not allow the player to travel to Europe.
