Top Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain considered making a move for Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah during the summer transfer window. Fabrizio stated that the Paris club was ready to swoop for Salah should Kylian Mbappe had made the move to Real Madrid.

Though, Fabrizio Romano also revealed that Liverpool made it known to Paris Saint-Germain that the Egyptian forward is not for sale and they would not be entertaining bids for him. Mohamed Salah forms the centrepiece of Liverpool's attacking unit that also includes Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota.

Paris Saint-Germain made the move for Mohamed Salah in a bid to create a fearsome attacking trident of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mohamed Salah. Interestingly, this would create another attacking trio that could be dubbed MSN - Messi, Salah, Neymar. Both Messi and Neymar were also part of the initial MSN, with Luis Suarez the last of that trio.

Mohamed Salah has been prolific for Liverpool since he joined the Premier League club from Roma in 2017. The Egyptian forward has scored a total of 134 goals and made 46 assists, coming to 180 goal contributions in just 212 games for the club.
