What could be better for Chucky Lozano than being connected with Lionel Messi? Not many more things in life. The Mexican star has been poised to be given a chance in Barcelona, according to the statement from a club’s legend.

The 25-year-old from Napoli was selected as his favorite by former Barcelona’s goalscorer Hristo Stoichkov. The Bulgarian legend, who was one of the best strikers in Europe’s soccer in the mid-1990s, has suggested that the club should go and try to sign the Mexican winger whenever they have the chance

Stoichkov moved to North America after he retired from soccer, finishing his career in MLS. Then, given his fluent Spanish, he has become a leading commentator. Speaking to TUDN, he assured Lozano is the man to look for in Barcelona.

“He is still a kid but has shown lots of talent, he’s shown Mexico can do well. Speaking from my heart, I do want to see him in Barcelona, he could do wonderful things for the team”, he stated. Stoichkov played 250 games and scored 114 goals for Barceona from 1992 to 1998.
