The Rayados de Monterrey team begins a new stage with the Mexican technical director Javier Aguirre, who returns to the Liga MX after several years of being out of the country directing teams such as the Japan national team or the national team of Egypt and also teams from the first division of Spain.

The coach Javier Aguirre exploded with courage when he knew that unfortunately the debut of the team will be overshadowed by the positive case of Covid-19 of his top leader and scorer defender, the centre back Nicolas Sanchez, who had no choice but to go home and be isolated.

By the absence of only 3 days to start the tournament Clausura 2021, the coach Javier Aguirre will have to make use of Sebastian Vegas or the new reinforcement Adrian Mora, in order to accompany Cesar Montes in the central defense. It is also expected that the Colombian Medina and Gallardo will be the full-backs. Rayados de Monterrey will make his debut against Atlas de Guadalajara, a team of the weakest in the tournament, that has just lost the Argentine Julio Furch, who is his best signing of the season, due to injury.

In the case of Rayados de Monterrey, the loss of the captain Nicolas Sanchez will be really missed, as besides of being a very solid central defender, the Argentine contributes too much to the offensive, as he accumulates 40 goals with Rayados de Monterrey. Sanchez has been one of the top scorers of the team, since many season ago.
