Aguero, Alli: Footballers who dated managers daughters

The world of football is a rather small world with almost all the elite footballers knowing each other. It must be one of the professions with the richest employees and also the smallest. The same is for coaches also, as the elite coaches are not so many and everyone knows them. This means that coaches and footballers often cross paths, meeting each other in different clubs or even with opponent clubs. This often applies to their families also, who are constantly around footballers due to them moving around with their fathers as they coach one team to another.

Over the years, there have been high profile cases where footballers have dated the daughters of famous coaches. Some of them have just been rumours, some of them have just been short-term relationships while some of them have also led to marriages and kids. We'll look at two of the most popular examples of footballers who dated managers' children. 

Sergio Aguero and Giannina Maradona

This is the most popular example of footballers who dated manager's kids. Ex-Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero was in a romantic relationship with the daughter of late Argentine legend and former coach, Diego Maradona. Sergio Aguero and Giannina Maradona were said to have met in 2008 while the striker was still at Atletico Madrid.

The pair started dating and had a child, Ben, in 2009.  Aguero also got married to Giannina Maradona and they were together till 2012 when they got a divorce. Diego Maradona allegedly called Aguero a 'wimp' after the striker divorced his daughter, with Giannina Maradona also launching numerous attacks against the striker who now plays for FC Barcelona.

Dele Alli & Maria Guardiola

This is the most recent case of footballers dating the manager's daughter. Though playing for different teams in different cities, Tottenham Hotspurs' Dele Alli is rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with Maria Guardiola, the daughter of  Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola. Dele and Maria were first seen together in May kissing on a rooftop and were recently spotted leaving the popular Novikov Restaurant & Bar on Berkeley Street on Monday. Maria Guardiola, 20, is the first child of Pep Guardiola and she is said to be studying at the University.
