Zinedine Zidane is having a turbulent season at Real Madrid. Some bad results at the beginning had been overcome, but the Copa del Rey loss against Alcoyano, a lower league team in extra time, angered the fans and the board. And with the conflicts there are currently between Zizou and the president Florentino Perez, the French does not look like he has much time left.
That is why Flo started looking for replacements to act as soon as possible if Zidane ends losing his job. And he thought immediately in a legend of the club, who scored hundreds of goals, played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and is currently doing well as a coach, following the same path as Pep Guardiola.
And that manager is Raul Gonzalez Blanco, who manages the B team (Real Madrid Castilla) at the moment and is getting good experience within the club. The other alternatives for the manager position will be difficult to sign because they are not free agents, but the former knows the club and can be appointed literally for free to succeed his former teammate.
Raul played 16 seasons for Real Madrid between 1994 and 2010, and was the top scorer of the history of the club with 323 goals until he was surpassed by, obviously, Cristiano Ronaldo. He and the Portuguese played together one season, the first one of CR7 with the Blancos, where the GOAT had to take the 9 shirt because the 7 was his and untouchable.
