Is Miguel Layún an authorized person to speak about reinforcements for Rayados de Monterrey? Well, arriving in 2019 and winning the Concacaf Champions League, apart from carrying almost 70 games for Mexico’s national team, seem to be enough credentials. But wait… did he say ‘Sergio Agüero’?
Yes, Miguel Layún wants Rayados to go for Sergio Agüero. The Argentinian striker was a trend in social media in the last 24 hours after a two-hour interview he with Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos. The young 25-year-old influencer asked him lots of things about his hard childhood in Argentina, but also, some questions on his future.
Agüero left clear that there were some topics he could not speak about in the conversation, which still was held in very friendly and amusing manners. Of course, he was asked if he would like to play alongside Lionel Messi in the same club, no matter if it is Manchester City or Barcelona. Both are attached to their clubs until June 30.
Back to Rayados’ wing back, Layún was one of the over 100,000 spectators of the interview. Ibai Llanos didn’t know Agüero would become a free agent in June 30, but we guess Layún already knew so. Then, the 32-year-old posted a Tweet inviting the Argentinian to join Rayados. He asked for RTs stating Agüero already liked the stadium, he owns an eSports team, and current club’s coach Javier Aguirre had him in Atlético de Madrid back in 2007. He would arrive on a free transfer, but his reported salary in Manchester City, as per Spotrac, is $16.4 million per year.
