"After this stage at Real Madrid I will probably retire," admitted Ancelotti, who has a contract until 2024, in an interview with Prime Video, in which, however, he noted: "But if Real wants me here for ten years, I will be here for another ten years."

Ancelotti does not rule out coaching a national team

He did not rule out the possibility of coaching a national team at the 2026 World Cup to be held in North America, although he felt it was "premature" to express any certainty in this regard.

The Italian, who has become the first coach to win the title in the five major leagues (Spain, Italy, England, France, and Germany), acknowledged that he would like to spend time with his grandchildren, go on vacation with his wife, visit his sister more often: "There are so many things I have neglected that I would like to do. Go to a lot of places I've never been."

Still fighting for the Champions League

Ancelotti and Real Madrid were crowned just over the weekend, with four games remaining, after beating Espanyol of Barcelona. Now the Merengue team is focused on the Champions League semifinal against Manchester City.

The Spaniards will host the second leg of the tie after losing the first leg 4-3 last week in England and will be looking to reach the Champions League Final once again, an instance they last reached in the 2017-2018 season against Liverpool to lift their thirteenth trophy in this competition.

In 2014, Ancelotti and Real Madrid achieved 'La Décima' by beating Atlético de Madrid, the team they will face this weekend in a new edition of the capital's derby and who in previous days indicated that they will not make the 'pasillo' to the Merengue team despite having won the domestic championship.
