The controversy and fighting are always present in football. Some characters are better to discuss and others not so much but there is a explayer who is always in the newspapers. Very good declarer and controversial, so we could describe Cuauhtémoc Blanco, one of the best Mexican players of all time. Before the rematch between America and Chivas, the Mexican explayer had controversial statements against an America idol.

In an interview, who declared that “he will always be an Americanista” and that “he will always defend America, not like others”. These words would be directed to the América explayer, Carlos Santos, who is currently a commentator in Azteca. Santos was questioned by fans for not defending America in the last months.

In the same interview, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, currently governor of Morelos in Mexico said that “América has better players than Chivas” and that “América will recover the result but they must be careful with the way Chivas plays”. Blanco has always defended America's jersey, first on the court and then outside, among journalists.

Cuauhtémoc had a great playing career. He played in Valladolid (Spain), Necaxa, Veracuz, Santos Laguna and Irapuato (Mexico), among others. But without a doubt, where Blanco  played the best was in America, where he is one of the biggest idols of the fans. In his long career, he played 697 apps and he scored 234 goals. He also played three Worlds Cup (France 1998, Korea-Japan 2002 and South Africa 2010) with the Mexican team.
