Not only the money, the transformation that Chelsea offered Estevão Willian to accept their offer

A few weeks ago, Chelsea have confirmed their intentions to sign Brazilian teenager Estevão Willian, one of the most exciting talents that South America has. After negotiations between Chelsea and Palmeiras, Estevão accepted to join de English club in a long term deal. Once it was signed, the Brazilian serie with European clubs was over.

Chelsea believes that they have signed one of the best young talents in the world as they secured the signing of Estevão Willian from Palmeiras. The Brazilian winger is set to join Chelsea next summer when he will be 18 years old. He is currently 17 and cant play for the Blues this upcoming season. Many European clubs were interested in signing the young Brazilian, including PSG and FC Barcelona.

Willian seemed destined to join FC Barcelona since the Catalan club has found success in signing Brazilian players. The Palmeiras attacker chose Chelsea, and many were surprised by the move since the Premier League club has been after young talent from South America as of late.

Willian’s agent, Andre Curry, spoke about the reason why the Brazilian player chose to play for Chelsea instead of other clubs, and it wasn't only because of the money. Curry said, “Why did Chelsea win the fight? Chelsea’s project is to have a young team, with organization & investment. They also can see Estevão playing as a 10. Here he plays on the wing, but there they can see him in that (10) role. It’s very important.”

Estevão Willian is very comfortable on the right wing since he is left-footed and has a great shot on him. The young Brazilian winger is very fast and likes to take on defenders. Willian is often played as a right winger for Palmeiras, but many Brazilian fans would like to see him more centrally in the attack.

Estevão Willian has reportedly played as a number 10 in the academy of Cruzeiro. Reports in Brazil suggest that the number 10 position is where he excels the best on the pitch, but for now, he will stick to the right-hand side of the porch since he has shown lots of amazing goals and assists.

Estevão Willian suffers injury in last game

Estevão Willian has four goal contributions in the last four games with Palmeiras. He scored two goals and provided two assists. In the last game with Palmerias, Willian suffered an injury against Botafoga RJ and was subbed off in the 81st minute.
