The Copa America Final between Argentina and Colombia at the Hard Rock Stadium will be sold out tonight and it will have gazing stars in attendance apart from the stars on the pitch like Lionel Messi and James Rodriguez. The former president of the United States was heavily rumored to attend a Copa America match this summer, but after the scary incident he faced yesterday at a rally in Pennsylvania, the plans of attending tonight's match are canceled. According to reports from the members of Trump's presidential campaign, the former president was set to make a surprise appearance at the semifinals of the Copa America this summer. He was set to appear in the semifinal match that took place in North Carolina at the Bank of America Stadium. Trump and his team reportedly planned the trip to the stadium before the competition started and without knowing who the teams would be in that semifinal match. The cancellation was due to the strict rules of security measures in the stadium. He would've planned to attend the final, but now, after the incident yesterday, he will not show up. He was rumored to have shown up at the UFC event last night, but he didn't show up.
The attempted assassination of Trump yesterday did not change any security measures for the match, but there will still be lots of police presence due to the game being a final. Trump was initially planning to watch a Copa America game in Dallas, Texas, at the Q2 Stadium on June 30th, but the capacity of the stadium was just above 20,000.
Trump would've watched the Jamaica vs Venezuela match in Group B, where Venezuela won 3-0. He also would've watched Colombia defeat Uruguay 1-0 in North Carolina in the semifinals of the competition. For Trump to attend a football game, the stadium must meet the security standards required by the US Secret Service.
The Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, is sold out for the Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia. Trump would most likely be able to attend this match since the stadium is one of the biggest in the country and has held a Super Bowl in the past [2020]. The capacity of the stadium is 65,326.
