Mexico will face Costa Rica for the next CONCACAF qualifier match and Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino will not count with the rigth back Jorge Sanchez for the game after the America player got injured against Jamaica.
Mexico national team won against the Caribean nation although they started losing the match. For a moment, the Argentinean coach thought that his management in front of México was coming to an end because a loss would have jeopardized Mexico's qualification and would have been the third consecutive defeat in the CONCACAF qualifiers. However, Mexico turned the game around and took three valuable points.
The match against Costa Rica will be played at Azteca Stadium. The ‘Ticos’ won against Panama, and are already fighting for fourth place in the Octagonal standings. With the goal of Bryan Ruíz, the Central American nation has put pressure on Panama, which are 2 points above Costa Rica. Luis Fernando Suárez’s squad will not be an easy task for Martino’s men.
Gerardo Martino will count with Chucky Lozano who will be back after being suspended due to yellow cards. The Napoli player will be a good option for Martino in the offensive line and after the performance of Uriel Antuna against Jamaica, is probably that the Cruz Azul player will start the game on the bench, while Lozano will go as a starter as a rigth winger.
With Lozano’s return and Jorge Sánchez’s injury, Martino's potential lineup will be as follows.
This coach is ready to join Mexico National Team and knows what to do with Rogelio Funes Mori
Goalkeeper: Guillermo Ochoa (GK)
Defenders: Nestor Araujo (CB), Hector Moreno (CB), Luis Rodríguez (RB), Jesús Gallardo (LB)
Midfielders: Edson Álvarez (CM), Andrés Guardado (CM), Carlos Rodríguez (CM)
Forwards: Alexis Vega (LW), Rogelio Funes Mori (St), Hirving Lozano (RW)
