There has been debate about which is the biggest between the Premier League TV rights in the USA compared to NBA TV rights in the UK. The Premier League is set to sign to take a further step in their TV rights revenue to make more. It renews it's domestic with Sky Sport, BT Sport, Amazon Prime and BBC Sports to 2025 which is worth about £4.7 billion.
The NBA TV rights in the UK is estimated to be worth around $1.466 billion. This is small compared to that of the Premier League right in the USA. Another interesting thing is that it may get better with NBC, CBS and ESPN competing for a six year deal that will be worth around £1.5 billion.
Should the deal reported to be closed by BBC Sports is secured that means the total earnings of the league right will be around £10 billion between 2022-2025 which will be a new record for TV revenue of any League.
In 2019 the UK pay-television broadcaster Sky Sports has won the UK broadcast rights to the National Basketball Association (NBA) in a new four-year multi-platform deal. Which will enable it broadcast more than 170 live matches and a record number of live weekend primetime fixtures.
