The Mexican National Soccer Team announced its rivals for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. There will be 14 matches that will define the qualification and obtaining of a ticket to the highest national team tournament. For the time being, it is already known that the national team will play three home games between September and October; the first of them will be against Jamaica.

 

 

Gerardo Martino's team will play eight matches in the remainder of 2021 and another six matches in 2022. CONCACAF will have the right to take three teams and a half-pass in which the nation that comes in fourth place in the qualifiers will have to play a playoff. Mexico will be part of the final octagonal along with the United States, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Canada, El Salvador and Panama. The eight countries will play round-robin matches, with the top three advancing directly to the World Cup. The fourth place will go to the playoffs in June 2022.

 

 

When does the Mexico National Team play?

 

 

The Tricolor will make its debut on September 2 against Jamaica at the Azteca Stadium. Three days later they will visit Costa Rica at the Estadio Nacional and on September 8 they will face Panama at the Estadio Rommel Fernández. The Azteca Stadium will be Mexico's home stadium for its first three home games.
