2018 FIFA World Cup finalist Croatia become the latest nation to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after continuing their dominance over 2018 World Cup host Russia joining the six other nations to have qualified.
Croatia has never lost to Russia in a competitive game in seven meetings and that didn't change today as the small European country beat European powerhouse Russia 1-0 to finish Group H leaders and secure an automatic ticket.
Host Qatar, all time present Brazil, Germany, Denmark, France and Belgium have all qualified before today and Croatia have joined them in qualifying for the mundial.
The other nations who could qualify today are Portugal/Serbia, Spain/Sweden, Italy/Switzerland, England/Poland, Netherlands/Turkey/Norway. Portugal and England need either a win or a draw or results to go fine for them in other fixtures while the others must win games.
