Massimiliano Allegri returned to Juventus after two years away and his first action was to have Cristiano Ronaldo out of the club with the aim of rebuilding the squad from scratch without having to depend on a 36 year old Ronaldo even though that has not gone to plan.
Juventus are currently ninth on the Serie A table with 15 points from 11 games. They have won just four games, drawn three and lost four, to put that into perspective they have never lost more than seven matches in a season and there's still 27 games left in the season.
Allegri began his managerial career in 2004 with Aglianese, the club where he ended his professional career. He has spent all his managerial career in the Italian leagues managing Serie A, B, C and D. He also managed SPAL, Grosseto, Sassuolo, Cagliari and AC Milan. He has won 13 major titles in his career with AC Milan and Juventus.
He has won the Serie A six times, five times with Juventus and one with AC Milan. He has won four Coppa Italia, three Supercoppa Italia and lost two Champions League finals, one to Barcelona in 2015 and to Real Madrid in 2017. His current salary is $8m and is worth about $20m.
