Leon wants two Argentines for the position of coach

After Ignacio Ambriz left the technical direction of Leon due to poor results at the start of the 2021 championship, the leadership of the Felino team is already looking for a replacement. In that sense, although all paths point to Miguel Herrera accepting the challenge, the authorities of the last Mexican soccer champion have two Argentine technicians in the pipeline to replace Ambriz. 

The first is Antonio Mohamed. El Turco, who won Monterrey Concachampions and was later fired due to poor results, knows Mexican football perfectly, so he would have no problems adapting. "El Turco is the favorite of the top team of the 'esmeralda' team, however, for now the three-time Liga MX champion strategist is in Argentina and has no interest in directing in Mexico anytime soon" reported TUDN.

The second Argentine coach that sounds, and with greater force, is Ariel Holan. The Professor, who resigned from the technical direction of Santos of Brazil  due to the economic crisis and leadership that the club is experiencing, is to the liking of the board and they have already contacted to know the conditions to hire him. Let us remember that Leon had already looked for Holan when he was working in Defensa y Justicia, but at that time he did not want to interrupt his contract with the Falcon and decided to continue a time with Florencio Varela.

Now, in case of reaching an agreement with La Fiera, the 60-year-old DT will meet again with an old acquaintance in Independiente such as Emmanuel Gigliotti. Although not for long, because the forward's contract expires in June and, furthermore, his relationship with Holan at Rojo didn't end in the best way.

Miguel Herrera and Diego Alonso are options in León
