The Argentine is currently on loan at River Plate from Man City after being signed by the Premier League champions earlier this year. The exciting prospect will be at the Manchester City team next January under Pep Guardiola, but other reports suggest that he may not even play for the team next season. Echeverri may be loaned out to another club and not in the Premier League. The favorite to have the Argentine attacking midfielder is Girona in La Liga since it is a club under the City Group organization. The issue with this loan deal is that since Girona qualified for the Champions League next season, Echeverri may not be able to play for them since Man City is also in the Champions League and UEFA doesn't allow clubs with the same ownership. The Spanish clubs that may be able to sign him on loan are Real Sociedad, Real Betis, and UD Las Palmas.
