Claudio Echverri will prepare this summer and the next few months for his arrival at Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. The Argentine attacking midfielder signed with the Premier League club in January and has been on loan at River Plate for a year. He is expected to join the Man City team next January, but Guardiola and Argentina have concerns about his health. Earlier this year, Echeverri spoke about chest pains he had when playing for the U23 Argentina team. The Argentine youngster explained the chest pain he felt that made him very afraid about his health and hopes that he doesn't suffer that again. Echeverri said, "During the game I had a very strong pain in my chest. I couldn't breathe very well. I was very scared. I jumped down to [catch] the air and then, thank God, it went away a little. Afterwards I continued well. I'm going to talk to the doctors anyway, to see what it is. Something like this had never happened to me, I felt very scared. I'm fine, thank God." He was fine, and the team went on to win, giving them a chance to secure a spot in the Olympics.

Echeverri and Argentina went on to beat the U23 Brazil team to earn a spot in the Summer Olympics in Paris this summer. The football tournament for the Olympics starts on July 24th, and the final is on August 9th. Echeverri will play in the Summer Olympics with the U23 Argentina team after being called up by the team coach, Javier Mascherano.

Man City fans hope he doesn't ever face the chest pain he suffered earlier this year again since the player will be playing a lot. Echeverri was playing games with River Plate in the Argentine league and will play for them right after the Summer Olympics.

U-23 Argentina's group in the Olympics

Argentina's U-23 team will be playing Group B of the football tournament at the Paris Games this summer. They will take on the U-23 teams of Iraq, Morocco, and Ukraine. If they advance to the knockout stages, they will play the winner or the runners-up of the Group, depending on their position. Group A includes the U-23 teams of France, Guinea, New Zealand, and the United States.
