Real Madrid will want to achieve something with Mbappé they have not done before in a long time.

Florentino Perez seems focused while Kylian Mbappé points to the sky with PSG.

Real Madrid seems closer than ever to signing Kylian Mbappé from PSG this summer and building a strong team that can compete for the Champions League next season once again. According to Relevo, Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez, the main objective for next season will not be winning the Champions League. Under Perez's presidency, Real Madrid has never won two La Liga titles in a row, and the club is prioritizing the team to win the league once again next season. Perez wants Real Madrid to dominate La Liga, similar to how Manchester City in England and Bayern Munich in Germany have done it over the last couple of years.

Mbappé has experience dominating a league as he won another Ligue 1 title this season with PSG. PSG has won the French league six out of the last eight seasons. Mbappé only missed out on one Ligue 1 title with PSG, which was in the 2020/2021 season, where Lille won the league by 83 points while PSG was second with 82 points. After 31 games played this season, PSG secured the title with 70 points and has three more league games to play, which means they could reach up to 79 points if they win all of their remaining games.

Real Madrid won the league this weekend after FC Barcelona lost 4-2 to Girona and Los Blancos defeated Cadiz 3-0. Madrid are the La Liga winners with 87 points after 34 games played, and they still have four more league games to play. Real Madrid could reach up to 99 points this season if they win all of their remaining league games. Madrid has now won three of the last five seasons in La Liga, but now they want to go back-to-back.
