Premier League legend thinks Manchester United was better with Ole than Ten Hag

Premier League legend is not sure what the game plan of Erik Ten Hag is with Manchester United.

Ten Hag's game plan with Manchester United is a mystery for Premier League legend unlike Solskjaer's ideas.

Erik Ten Hag has been under lots of pressure due to the inconsistency of the Manchester United performances. While Man United go on a run of good games, the team collapses in key moments as they search to qualify for Europe. Man United are 6th in the Premier League table with 44 points and are 6 points behind 5th place Tottenham Hostpur. Man United will need to pick up wins quickly in order to have a chance at qualifying for the Europa League. The main target for the team is to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Premier League legend Cesc Fabregas spoke to BBC 5 Live Sport about his opinion on the current state of the Manchester United team. The former Arsenal player is not impressed with Man United's performances and says the team looked better under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he was the coach a couple of years ago.

Fabregas is unaware of Ten Hag's tactics with Man United. Fabregas said, "I don't know his [Ten Hag] gameplan, I don't know if he has structure, I don't know what his message is. It cannot happen that a top, top team gets done on the counter so many times in one half, or over 60 minutes. And this shows that they are lacking something."

Fabregas compares Ten Hag to Solskjaer's plans and says, "With Ole, there was some good big games. At least you saw a plan, which was defend well and have great breaks, great counter attacks. This is exactly what Man United don't have at the moment. With them, I don't have the perception they are a solid team at the moment. The counters Fulham did to them? It makes the alarm bells go."
